Troye Sivan’s Style

“Anytime I’m going to dye my hair, I always get the butterflies. My hair to me, it’s just another kind of way to express myself and […] I feel like it’s always the beginning, kind of a new chapter.”

Troye Sivan's style is characterised by its blend of casual elegance and contemporary edge. He often opts for clean lines and minimalist designs, favouring well-tailored pieces that exude a sense of effortless sophistication. Sivan's wardrobe includes a mix of classic staples like crisp shirts and tailored trousers, which he frequently pairs with more modern, statement pieces such as oversized jackets and bold accessories. His colour palette tends to be muted, with occasional pops of vibrant hues, reflecting a balance between understated chic and youthful flair. This versatile approach allows him to seamlessly transition between laid-back, everyday looks and more polished, fashion-forward ensembles.

HAIR INSPIRATION

HOW TO RECREATE TROYE’S ICONIC ROCK-AND-ROLL VIBE

We break down two Troye Sivan-inspired hair looks that can be recreated with a personalised twist in the salon. Whether you’re aiming for the laid-back rock-and-roll vibe or a fresh take on natural curls, these looks are perfect for anyone looking to channel their inner Troye.

Christopher

Christopher’s Rock and Roll Shag: For a Laid-Back, Effortless Look

Christopher’s look pulls inspiration directly from Troye’s dishevelled, rock-and-roll aesthetic. While Troye often wears his hair with a soft, messy texture, Christopher’s interpretation leans into a slightly longer length, giving the same carefree vibe but with a more lived-in feel.

The Cut: To create the shaggy, textured style, the hair was cut using a razor, which creates layers and enhances the natural texture for that effortlessly tousled look Troye is known for.

The Colour: For the colour, created by Global Ambassador Lesley Jennison, the goal was to lift Christopher’s natural hue while staying true to Troye’s light, warm blonde shades. A heavy foiling technique was used, alternating two different foil patterns for maximum brightness and lift. The result is a fresh, dimensional blonde that complements his skin tone.

David's Look

David’s Fresh, Curly Pompadour: A Personalised Spin on Troye’s Style

David’s look takes Troye’s rock-and-roll vibe and adapts it to his natural curls. The aim here is to embrace the texture and volume of David’s hair, allowing it to define the style while still pulling from Troye’s aesthetic.

The Cut: David’s haircut features short sides with a long, curly pompadour on top. This modern take on a classic pompadour allows his curls to stand out, with a clean, blended look that’s fresh and youthful.

The Colour: For David’s colour, created by Global Ambassador Lisa Farrell, foils were strategically placed in the front to brighten his natural curl pattern, while a peachy tone was applied to accentuate his skin tone and curls. The shoeshine technique on top added depth and dimension, enhancing the volume of the pompadour.
