It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that SHY+FLO stands out in Zurich’s already vibrant hair scene. Founded by the couple Shayna and Florian Knittel, this powerhouse salon emerged from a chance meeting between the two in another stylist’s chair. "I fell in love with her straight away," Flo reveals, though Shy had a slightly different experience. "I did not," she jokes. "But when I saw how he was cutting hair, I got more interested."
Their shared passion has since blossomed into a thriving business, with a team of 12 international artists and a reputation that resonates far beyond the Swiss borders. They’ve impressed audiences at Salon International in London, the Dazed x Schwarzkop Professional Head to Head event, and CosmoBeauty in Spain. Powered by Schwarzkopf Professional products – which they deem the "bedrock of their artistry" – the duo have earned themselves multiple European hairdressing awards.
