In Nick's hands, every client is a unique canvas. A storyteller by nature, his narrative approach has led to a revolutionary career in hairstyling.
A young Nick Irwin found himself captivated by a kaleidoscope of subcultures. This vibrant tapestry of Goths, Punks, and New Romantics would become the unlikely foundation for a revolutionary career in hairstyling. Irwin’s talent quickly caught the eye of industry giants – his move to London saw him join the prestigious TONI&GUY Artistic Team, where he honed his craft amid the hustle and bustle of city life. But for Nick, hair was always more about storytelling than style.
This narrative approach has made him a chameleon in the industry: one day he’s creating avant-garde editorial looks as Hair Editor for Hunger magazine, collaborating with the renowned photographer Rankin; the next, he’s translating high fashion into wearable art for A-listers. Now, as Schwarzkopf’s Global Ambassador, Nick continues to blur the lines between high fashion and everyday elegance.
His mantra? "Eyes first, hands second." It’s this observational prowess that allows him to see each client as a unique canvas, ready for their story to be told via the medium of hair.
“It was all about breaking the rules, and that really stayed with me.”
